"Nice Place for Business Guests"
"We used the Madison Hotel to host some business guests this past December. It was nice that they provided a warm breakfast and coffee in the morning and it was decorated very nicely for the holidays. The restaurant is also fabulous!" Posted on February 5, 2013
"I came with my children during winter break and stayed at The Madison. The staff catered to all our needs and provided us with adjoining rooms near the pool and fitness center upon request. We especially enjoyed playing complimentary board games in front of the cozy fire place with our kids. I would definitely recommend The Madison Hotel to anyone who needs a hotel in the area." "Luxury and friendliness combined"
"Visited Drew university again to see my son. Brought my daughter with me. I love the warm ambiance of the foyer fire when eating the buffet breakfast. The bedrooms are spacious and high quality and access to NY by train is easy. The staff are friendly and helpful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else." Posted February 24, 2012
"Great Hotel"
"My family and I had to spend two nights at this hotel because our house was being renovated. "This hotel stands out from many chain hotels, Proximity to New York and Short Hills Mall as well as presence of a great restaurant" Rod’s Steak & Seafood Grille" definitely makes this hotel a place to stop by. "I can not think of a thing I would change"
"This hotel may be classed a 3 1/2 star but the staff and there attention to detail made us feel like royalty. Everything was elegant and plush with a vintage and nostalgic atmosphere. Thank you Priceline.com this has been one of my best stays ever."
"Atmosphere was great, rooms were gorgeous, all the staff was friendly, quick to help and very polite, the bed was plush and very comfortable. The pool, fitness area, restaurants, bar are pristine. And to top it all off it has a free continental breakfast, free Wi-Fi in all the rooms, free parking and less then forty-five minutes to New York City."

“Great Atmostphere and Friendly Staff”
"My wife and loved the atmosphere of this place and enjoyed the restaurants and bars. The food was great and the staff was enjoyable. After a trip to NYC was canceled due to weather and driving conditions not ideal for travel we were very happy to be in such a fun and welcoming place. We will definitely stay here again. “Wonderfull Experience”
"My wife and I have had the good fortune of staying at The Madison Hotel twice in the past year. Each stay starts with NJ's friendliest front desk staff. In the winter, the smell of the wood burning fireplace in the middle of the sunken lobby catches your senses along with the large cookies on the counter when you are checking in. Breakfast each day is served in the lobby. Unlike most other hotels, the executive staff of the hotel within earshot of the front desk enabling them to know what is going on first hand. With the Convent Station NJ Transit station located just across the parking lot, getting on a train to Newark or NYC is a breeze. The 2 restaurants at the Madison are great and Morristown and Madison offer plenty of great options as well." Posted on January 25, 2013
"Friendly helpful staff and great breakfast!"
The Madison is the Ritz Carlton of Morristown. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Beds are great and very, very clean. The substantial breakfast is a great additional treat. I will be back! Posted October 28, 2012 ________________________________________________________
“Old Meets New”
"We visited the Madison Hotel for a wedding. It provided a fine “all-in-one” venue. Between the rehearsal dinner, wedding, reception, meals and social time, we never had to leave the hotel!
"From the outside, it looks like an old mansion. Upon arrival, you are greeted by the doorman, who welcomes you into the Victorian style, palatial building. The hotel is full of antiques and ornate decorations, from the hand-carved wood adornments to the beautiful stained glass windows placed throughout the area.
"The lobby features a lounge area with fireplace, where you can read a book (they have a lending library), have a complimentary cup of coffee/tea/hot cocoa, or just sit and listen to the big band and crooner music they play over the speakers.
"It was really the details which made our stay enjoyable. There is an on-site ATM and a Keurig coffee maker in each room, with free coffee and tea K-cups.
"We did eat at Rod’s for lunch one day. Though it was a bit pricey, the food was good and the portions were large.
"Overall, our stay was most enjoyable. We would consider this hotel again if/when we are back in the area." Posted on February 13, 2012
"Excellent hotel for business or pleasure"
"My wife and I traveled to New Jersey on business and did a presentation at the Madison. There is a train station across the street so getting to & from New York via NJT is a breeze. The staff was courteous and helpful. Walking into the hotel is like stepping back in time; although built in the 1980's, there are pieces that date back to the 1800's. The fireplace is a work of art as is the glass conservatory at the back of the hotel. The meeting room was clean and spacious and there are many other rooms for smaller meetings or breakout sessions if you are having a larger event. We will be coming back in the spring to work and stay here again." Posted on January 30, 2012
"Very Satisfied"
"Stayed at the Madison this month on business and will definitely return next trip. The king size bed was excellent, particularly with the array of pillows included. Impeccably clean and every evening I returned from work to a turned down bed and a full ice bucket. The included breakfast had many choices, and I particulary appreciated the hot tea/coffee they had in the lobby when I returned late. Just an all around great value for the price."
