All in the Attention to Detail
The rooms and lobby of this hotel are well kept and comfortable. It was a perfect stay with kind, attentive staff and perhaps the best complimentary breakfast I've had at a hotel in the US.
A Great Experience
Surprisngly Solid Hotel in NJ
Clean room, great (complimentary) breakfast and evening meal at the attached Red Dog Tavern. Very happy and if I was in the area would definitely stay here again.
Was hosting a party in town for the Kentucky Derby and The Madison was the perfect hotel to keep the classic feeling of Derby weekend. The staff was great and the rooms are charming. I also one the prize of the day upon check in, which made it even better!!! Would definitely stay there again!! Great little outside area to have a drink or brunch.
One of the Best Hotels
I recently spent 3 pleasant days at the Madison in a very quiet and peaceful setting. This property has Victorian-era architecture and details and the rooms are beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities comparable to other first-class hotels. An extensive continental breakfast was included and two restaurants/taverns are located on the property. There is little reason to venture into town looking for other eateries unless one is staying for an extended period of time. The staff is very pleasant and helpful and I look forward to staying here again.
I was booked into Madison hotel for 3 days in April for an official trip. The hotel is an amazing property while super friendly staff. Right from the moment you check-in to check-out everything is smooth and easy.
The restaurants, especially Rod's, has an awesome collection of streaks and is a must try.
Hoping to come back soon
Top Choice in the Morristown Area
Great place to have some "couple's time" (escape from the kids for a night). A beautiful hotel, inside & out, lobby is well appointed, warm & inviting with many antiques. The outside has an older, classic design; a tree lined walkway & countless tulips/daffodils in bloom when we visited. It's just a short ride off of 287 & across the street from the train. The moment you enter you can tell that this is a well-run property with attention to detail, service was polite, friendly, efficient & helpful. Stayed in a suite with a king bed, sitting area with barstools, counter with sink, refrigerator & microwave at a very fair rate. Room was furnished in an early american style, plenty of space, all spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed & cozy pillows. Bathroom was newer, lots of light, very clean better shampoo, soap, etc. There are 2 restaurants which were hopping on a Saturday night with a band playing We ate in the tavern which had a creative menu that was excellent. The decor for both places was quite pleasing. The Madison is an excellent choice regardless of the occasion, we'll definitely be back!
Had a weekend wedding at the Madison Hotel, our first stay. We were very impressed. The room was well appointed, complete with lovely toiletries made with Sicilian red orange extracts. I like it when hotels give you an assortment of products to help your every need, such as a sewing kit, shower cap and a vanity kit complete w/emery board, cotton ball and swab. When you are in town for a wedding, you never know when such items will be needed. The hotel has a beautiful glass enclosed pool. A conservatory with plants hanging is a gorgeous place to have a party or shower of some sort. The dark wood of the lobby area has a cozy fireplace area that you walk a few steps down to enter w/overstuffed chairs and couches that you curl up with your own book or choose one from the shelves that provide them for you on the main level. The bar area is lovely, as is the area we had a few appetizers in before the wedding, which was a few hours later. The wait staff was pleasant and accommodating. We remarked that we would definitely return for a weekend getaway. We felt very much at home and welcomed there.
Held a charity event at the hotel recently and it could not have been better! The facility is beautiful, the staff is exceptionally helpful and gracious and the food was outstanding! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
The marble fireplace with the ornate wood in the lobby is captivating. You feel at home in luxury enjoying breakfast by the beautiful fireplace....The staff are all friendly and helpful. The room is the perfect size with all the amenities of home. Rooms are clean and spacious. This hotel is a diamond hidden at the entrance of St. Elizabeth's college. The pub restaurant has delicious food for all tastes and is very convenient right in the hotel. The beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes and fresh seasonal vegetables is outrageous! Enjoy home away from home in luxury! Reasonable priced also...
We stayed in a junior suite. Room was clean and spacious. Towels and linens are plush. Alot of convenient touches (bathrobes, amenities, snacks and fridge in room) . Staff is friendly and helpful. Had dinner at Rod's, which was also very good, and a drink in Red Dog. Overall, a very pleasant stay!
An Excellent Hotel to Stay In
The Madison Hotel is a perfect blend of old-fashioned charm with modern amenities. In terms of the modern amenities, rooms are beautifully decorated, with large marble upscale bathrooms and bath/showers, comfortable bathrobes, extremely comfortable beds with excellent linens, and comfortable chairs and desk areas in the room. In terms of the old-fashioned charm, the lobby area has tons of beautiful, dark-wood furniture with comfortable sitting areas and a very nice fireplace area. The restaurants are both excellent – one more casual, and one a high-end steak and seafood restaurant. Both very friendly and were bustling even on Monday and Tuesday nights.
The gym is very modern and has all relevant exercise equipment, and the pool is very nice. Staff were extremely accommodating. Rooms are extremely reasonably priced in view of the quality of the hotel. I have stayed at many, many hotels in the Northern NJ/NYC area for business, and this is by far the nicest and most accommodating hotel I have stayed in. I would highly recommend booking a stay with The Madison Hotel.
