"The 3 C's: Clean, Comfortable and Cozy

The 3 C's: Clean, Comfortable and Cozy - Bridgeville, DE
Our one night stay was perfect. Check-in was simple. Room was clean and comfortable. Bottles of water were placed at each side of the king-size bed prior to our arrival. Nice touch by the hotel. Bathroom in room was small but clean. Food and entertainment at restaurant were exceptional. The continental breakfast, included with your stay, has a lot of variety such as cereals, yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, selection of different breads for toasting and pastries, coffee, tea and juice.

"Keep Coming Back to The Madison Hotel

Keep Coming Back to The Madison Hotel - Massachusetts
My wife's family is from this area and I have been visiting Morristown for the last 30 years. Our daughter now attends Drew University, which is very close to the Madison Hotel. I have stayed in other area hotels, but the best is the Madison Hotel. The property is adjacent to the train to NYC, great value, very clean and the young people at the front desk are always very friendly. The room rate includes a continental breakfast and a raffle ticket for a gift basket. After our drive from Boston we often eat in one of the two restaurants located located in the hotel. I have also used the pool, hot tub and weight room. Full service gyms are also close by.

"Like Going Back in Time"

Like Going Back in Time - Massachusetts
We wanted to visit Morristown New Jersey since we had heard so much about it from our sister in law. What a beautiful hotel and it is used by the locals for parties so you know it must be good. The room is done in Victorian Furniture. A couple things that we missed were a personal safe and refrigerator but everything else was available. We brought a cooler which helped keep are drinks cool during the stay. They offered a light breakfast. There is an attached restaurant and bar which included several railway parlor cars to eat dinner and Sunday Brunch. There is an indoor pool and spa, exercise room, and a large lobby. If you want to relax this is the place to be.

"A Great Place to Relax"

A Great Place to Relax - New Jersey
We just spent the weekend at the Madison to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we noted this in our reservation, they took it to the next level without being asked. We were given a room off the beaten path, away from elevator traffic, etc, and the room was more spacious than we had asked for. I know it's winter time and they can't accommodate an upgrade when they are at full capacity, most likely....but we felt special from the start with that happy surprise. Soon after we settled in, there was an unexpected knock at the door, and we were presented with a bottle of champagne and a card with best wishes from the staff. They are always exceptionally polite, warm and accommodating. The hotel has an old world charm in its decor and is kept very clean. The two restaurants linked to the hotel are fantastic. We have been there a few times and there is always a wedding, but there is no disruption to the guests, the way it is set up. When we were leaving today, there were a bunch of young kids in the indoor pool, having a great time. The room is very sunny; it's not like a gymnasium, drab pool like I've seen in other hotels. Continental breakfast is a cold buffet, but varied and very fresh. We love it there - we are treated so well, and always come back far more relaxed than we were upon arrival.

"Warm and Cozy"

Warm and Cozy - Maryland
From the moment I walk in to second I leave I get this warm and fuzzy feeling like I'm visiting my grandparents 200 acre summer house in Bristol Maine. From the Decor, the huge leather chairs around the fireplace, the warm family home feeling you just can't quiet get elsewere. I don't even get that feeling at home lol. That's feeling that constantly draws me back. Guess you gotta spend a night to truly understand that cozy feeling! And the fact the restaurant food and ambiance rocks enough alone to bring me back.

"My Ideal Hotel"

My Ideal Hotel - New York
This was a marvelous hotel on many levels. Very beautiful interior, with excellent seating areas. Free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and fruited water in the lobby. Delicious cookies at the reception area in the evening. Free breakfast. Turn-down service in the evening with chocolates. Complementary bottled water when we arrived. Free wifi. Highly recommended!

"It's a Charming Hotel"

It's a Charming Hotel - Illinois
The outside of this hotel looks fairly nondescript, but once you pull into the entrance, you already think perhaps you've misjudged. The Madison was charming and tasteful in all aspects. The lobby is lovely with a lot of beautiful wood, at this time of the year with the holiday decorations, it looked even more attractive. Beautiful antiques and/or lights/windows etc. are displayed which were taken from various inns and homes that were demolished over the years. Our room was very spacious with a writing desk and comfortable easy chair, an excellent bed, and very charming decor (see picture of room and lobby). As it rained all day and evening, we decided to eat at the restaurant at the hotel, Rod's, and we were so glad we did! We sat at the charming bar first and had a drink and then went into the restaurant. We had an excellent meal, each of us had the rack of lamb which was cooked perfectly. The service was attentive and friendly and all our side dishes were delicious as well. In the morning, there was a breakfast included in the reasonable hotel room cost that was primarily continental style, not much in the way of hot foods (e.g., eggs, etc.)

All in all, we were delighted with this hotel. I don't know when I will be back to Morristown, but if I ever do, this will be the place to stay.

"Great Service, Amenities, Atmosphere"

Great Service, Amenities, Atmosphere - Conneticut
We celebrate our anniversary here every year. It's a beautiful building, great restaurant, pool, comfortable rooms, the staff are very accommodating. Breakfast included and coffee always in lobby. No gift shop or place to purchase toiletries, only drawback I can think of.

"Best Hotel Experience"

Best Hotel Experience - Italy
My wife (newlywed) and I live and work in Europe and have traveled extensively together and separately over the last 5 years and we can truly say that the Madison Hotel is one of the best we've ever stayed in!!! We were staying to the Madison for my brother's wedding from 29 December to 31 December; the staff was wonderful and attentive and the facilities were great; we didn't realize they had an indoor pool or we would have brought our swimsuits. My brother and his wife had their wedding reception in the conservatory, it was decorated beautifully, and the food and service was top notch. We would stay here again and again when visiting family in the future and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone, couples, families, etc whenever they go to Morristown.

"Welcoming Ambience"

Welcoming Ambience - New Jersey
I attended 2 weddings and stayed at the Madison Hotel on 2 separate occasions. Once in August 2013 and recently this past November 2016. Rooms are well appointed and immaculate. Beds are very comfortable. Food is excellent. Lobby is warm, welcoming and inviting. They serve a free breakfast of coffee/tea. fruit, rolls, pastries, yogurts and cereals in the lobby. There is a indoor pool. The Chateaubriand is fantastic. I look forward to staying there again. It's like going to visit a favorite old friend!!.

"Classic and Well Appointed"

Classic and Well Appointed - Pennsylvania
The Madison was a pleasant surprise. No detectable from the main road, when I finally found the hotel I was surprised by an elegant lobby with abundant dark woodwork and a sunken fireplace area. The front desk staff was very friendly offering freshly baked mini-cupcakes and apples to us. The pessimist in me said, OK, they sunk money into the lobby but the rooms are probably dated and threadbare. Not True! All appointments were up-to-date, fresh and high quality. The next morning we didn't have time for the continental breakfast, the pool or the exercise room but from a distance they all looked top shelf. Definitely, the place to stay in the Morristown area.
